Wizards Top Cavs On Road
The 96-83 win in Cleveland on Sunday night evens the Wizards season mark at 28-28. The defense stepping up in the fourth quarter, holding the Cavaliers to eleven points to secure the win. With the win Saturday night against the Pelicans, Washington is now winners of three straight.

The Wizards were protective of the ball, with 26 assists while only committing five turnovers. John Wall, now 4-2 head to head against Kyrie Irving, led the way with 21 points and nine assists, while Marcin Gortat posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. Nene left the game with an injury in the third period and did not return. Luol Deng led the Cavs with 17 points. Cleveland had injury concerns of their own, playing without center Anderson Varejao and guards Dion Waiters and C.J. Miles.

The Wizards are now 14-14 at home and on the road and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Preliminary diagnosis of Nene’s injury was a sprain, but an MRI is scheduled for Monday. Since acquiring the big man, the Wizards are a .500 team with him, 7-34 when he is out of the lineup.

The Wizards return home to host the Orland Magic, Tuesday night at 7pm at the Verizon Center.
