The Wizards wrapped up the season’s first month with a 108-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night at the Verizon Center. Washington finishing 6-2 over a brutal eight game stretch in 12 days. The Wizards shot 12-of-24 from three point land, which is a great sign considering Bradley Beal is still sidelined with an injury.

John Wall led the Wizards with 26 points, 12 assists and five steals. All five Wizards starters scored in double figures with Trevor Ariza contributing 24 points. The Wizards led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter, but the Hawks battled back to as close as two in the fourth quarter. Paul Milsap with 19 of his team high 23 points after intermission to pace Atlanta.

The Wizards four game home stand continues as the Orlando Magic come to town for a 7PM Monday @ the Verizon Center. Washington hosts Milwaukee on Wednesday and Denver on Monday the 9th.
