Wizards Hobble Into Camp

We are still more than a month away from the season opener and the Wizards already have injury concerns.

The team will be without starting center Emeka Okafor indefinitely and forward Chris Singleton is out for 6-8 weeks.

Rookie forward Otto Porter missed practice all weekend as he recovers from a hip injury. Coach Randy Wittman says Porter could return any time, but sees no reason to rush him back.

Forward Trevor Booker also sat out weekend practices at the Patriot Center as he rests a sore knee.

Injuries out of the gate last season ended the Wizards season prematurely, we all are hoping there isn’t a repeat performance.
