Wizards Fall To Knicks 98-89

Carmelo Anthony came home to score 22 points, leading the Knicks past the Wizards 98-89 at the Baltimore Arena.

The Wizards, who fall to 1-3 in preseason play, were led by Bradley Beal with 21 points.

Washington again played without Nene, who is still in his native Brazil.

More than 12,000 fans packed the Baltimore Arena, which served as the home for the then Bullets. The club moved to Washington, actually Prince George’s County, when the Capital Centre opened in 1973.

The Wizards are back on the court on Saturday night in New Orleans.
