Bradley Beal and Martell Webster combined for 40 points to lead Washington, while John Wall chipped in with 14 points and eight assists. Wall left the game after suffering an eye injury, while Trevor Ariza missed the second half with a hamstring concern.

Tony Parker led six Spurs in double figures with 16 points.

On the transaction front, if the Wizards are still interested in acquiring Minnesota combo forward Derrick Williams, now may be the time. The Timberwolves want to win now, to help convince Kevin Love to stick around long term. Minnesota needs a natural small forward and the Wizards have at least four of them.

Now 2-6, Washington returns home to host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night at the Verizon Center. The Wizards are 1-5 on the road, but play four of their next six games at home.
