Redskins Inactives Against Philly, Including Morgan
The Washington Redskins inactive players have been announced for todays game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Among the in actives is WR Joshua Morgan, who has a salary of $6 million this season. Stunning. When I say that, I mean both in terms of his lack of production and the amount of cash the Redskins gave him. Morgan has been an utter flop on the special teams return units and an absent wide receiver in the passing game.
As for the return units, WR Nick Williams is inactive and will take his place on kick returns along side TE Niles Paul. We fully expect the Redskins to get a look at Williams as the new punt returner today. Obviously, with Morgan’s lack of production, he has found himself on the Shanahan bad side, joining TE Fred Davis. For Morgan, this is his first time being listed as inactive since signing with Washington two seasons ago. WR Leonard Hankerson is now the listed second receiver opposite Pierre Garcon and Williams will indeed return punts.
Despite injury report listings, CB DeAngelo Hall and DE Stephen Bowen are active and expected to play.
Joining Morgan as in actives are QB Rex Grossman, S Jose Gumbs, LB Brandon Jenkins, OG Josh LeRibeus, TE Fred Davis, and NT Chris Neild.
