Nats sign Chris Young to minor deal
The Washington Nationals have re-signed P Chris Young to a minor league deal.
Young was signed last season by the Nats to compete for a possible rotation slot. He was one of the last cuts to the final roster and spent the season in the Nationals minor league system. However, the 34 year-old veteran spent much of last year injured, making only 9 starts for AAA Syracuse. In 9 starts, he was 1-2 with a 6.81 ERA.
In 2012, he made 20 starts for the NY Mets and posted a 4-9 record with a 4.15 ERA.
