Maryland avoided a post Duke letdown, beating Wake Forest for the eighth consecutive time, 71-60 on Tuesday night at the Comcast Center. Coach Mark Turgeon with a masterful job keeping the Terrapins focused and motivated, given the tough loss to the Blue Devils on Saturday night and top ranked and unbeaten Syracuse looming next on the schedule.
Maryland (15-12, 7-7 ACC) received strong play from Nick Faust, who led all scorers with a career high 20 points off the bench.

Wake Forest (14-12, 4-9 ACC), losers of six straight, were led by Devin Thomas who pulled down a game high 15 rebounds and added 11 points.
With the win, the Terrapins are in position to finish sixth in ACC regular season play, especially if they can take three of their final four games.
The Terrapins are off until Monday night when top ranked, unbeaten Syracuse (25-0, 12-0 ACC) visits College Park. ACC regular season play finishes up with Maryland at Clemson, before returning to Comcast for games with Virginia Tech and Virginia. The tournament begins Wednesday, March 12th in Greensboro.
