DCPRO UPDATES: On the eve of the Monday Night matchup, Coach Mike Shanahan is denying reports that Robert Griffin III asked the team not to show his bad plays during film review. Kevin Patra report @ NFL.com Meanwhile, ESPN has a report “Put ‘RG Me’ On Hiatus”. San Francisco has been having trouble sustaining drives, in a “Three and out rut”. With a game against division rival Seattle looming, the Redskins run game could get the 49ers defense primed for “Beast Mode”. RG3 and Colin Kaepernick struggling with follow up to “breakout” seasons in 2012. Washington Times beat writer Zac Boyer has five questions heading into Monday night. X-factors on each team who must step up to make an impact on Monday night. Need to know from ESPN Stats and Info: 49ers @ Redskins. Pregame primer from Fed Ex Field. My friend and Redskins historian Mike Richman takes a look at the history of the Redskins-49ers rivalry. I absolutely LOVE infographics and the 49ers team website has one for Monday night.

The Redskins will make their second appearance on Monday Night Football this season, when they host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. ESPN will broadcast the game with kickoff scheduled for 840pm EST. The Redskins offense is on a roll, if they reach 400 yards in total offense on Monday, it will be the fourth straight week, the longest in team history. Monday will mark the Redskins annual “Salute to Service” game. General Larry Spencer, Vice Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, will serve as one of the games honorary captains. Heroes Hangout with Darrel Young is part of the league’s tribute to service men and women. With the balmy weather turning frigid beginning on Sunday, will the Redskins enjoy a “Cold Field Advantage“?

Defending NFC Champion San Francisco (6-4) has dropped two straight games and now trails Seattle by 2.5 games in the NFC West. The 49ers are dead last in the NFL in passing offense, with an inability to stretch the field. Receiver Anquan Boldin and tight end Vernon Davis get most of quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s attention, on the receiving end of all of his touchdown passes this season. The Redskins know if the cannot control 49ers running game, notably Frank Gore, the San Francisco passing game (or lack thereof) won’t matter much. We will recap the drama in RG3′s week in a bit, but San Francisco is having quarterback problems of their own. Dave Feldman spent many seasons covering DC sports for FOX5, but now works in the Bay Area covering the 49ers. “Feldy” weighs in on the Monday night matchup. Dylan Desimone with the Bleacher Report, breaks down the 49ers game plan for Monday night. Infographic of Week 11 game between Niners and Saints HERE In this week’s edition of ESPN Double Coverage, 49ers reporter Bill Williamson joins our own John Keim. What do the experts think? As they do each week SB Nation not only polls their own experts, but the take by ESPN and CBS Sports.

At 3-7, the Redskins are in last place in the NFC lEast. The Redskins may get tight end Fred Davis back, while receiver Josh Morgan will start on Monday night. Morgan had been “phased out” but is needed with the loss of Leonard Hankerson for the remainder of the season. Lance Lewis has also been called up from the practice squad to add depth. Rookie tight end Jordan Reed failed to pass any of the NFL’s concussion test and has been ruled out for Monday, increasing the need for Davis to contribute.

As often happens when a team struggles on the field, issues develop off the field. Most of the locker room “problems” center around quarterback Robert Griffin III’s comments following the loss in Philadelphia and subsequent reaction to those remarks.

Is “Cold Blooded” RG3 losing friends in Washington. Have Redskins teammates turned on RG3? ESPN’s first take discussed that very question. Because we know you can’t get enough, here is CBS on the inner turmoil in Washington. We broke down why the trade for RG3 was costly, others point to the trade for Clinton Portis.

Coach Mike Shanahan is under pressure from all sides to turn things around. Is Shanahan’s job on the line on Monday night?
