    Adam Carriker Restructures Contract . . .

    Source (Washington Post):

The Redskins have restructured the contract of Adam Carriker, the defensive end confirmed.
The move comes as Washington works to get below the salary cap by Tuesday afternoon’s deadline. Carriker was due to count roughly $4.75 million against the cap this season.
Carriker just re-signed with Washington last season on a four-year deal. He missed all but two games with injury. His new deal doesn’t change in terms of seasons. The cap number for this season lowers, however.
“I’m glad to be able to help the team with the Salary Cap issue,” he said.
nice job by the FO to create some cap space without losing Carriker . . . nice job by Carriker too!!

Excellent move. I like Carriker and he is still relatively young. Shame he missed out on last season. I heard they are near a similar restructure with Moss.

Haz loves Carriker. Many teams would have no use for him, but in Washington's defense he fits like a glove. He's an ideal 3-4 DE for Haz and I'm sure the coach is very happy to have him back for at least one more year.
