i completely disagree . . .
growing up a Redskin fan in Northern Michigan was not easy. All we got to see on TV was either the Packers or the Lions . . . there was no Direct TV . . . there only thing you could do was the large satellite dish and they were VERY expensive . . . but i lived right down the road from the Ojibwa Indian Community and had quite a few friends there . . . they flew the Redskins flag all football season long and had a community hall with a satellite dish just so they could watch the Redskin games . . . it was a celebration every week . . . and what they told me was the term Redskin meant to them was "Great Warrior" . . . the whole community there embraced the name and the team . . .

and while that poll is a bit older, there are tons of polls like this . . . the VAST MAJORITY of Native Americans DO NOT find the name offensive.A poll of American Indians found that an overwhelming majority of them are not bothered by the name of the Washington Redskins.
