Sounds like : "We don't know anything yet, we haven't looked inside the knee but he'll be ready for next season" LOL! There is no logic to that.
And truthfully they won't know much for sure when they open up the knee either,. So I'd check back in July and see.

Another thing is that we seem to be hearing a tale of two MRI's. After his original injury in the Ravens game Mike Shanahan had this to say of the first MRI: "Shanahan said Griffin’s reconstructed ACL “looks great” and that there’s “no problem there.” So that was clear as a bell. Now consider Shanahan's remarks on the most recent MRI: "“Any time you do have a former ACL injury, or an LCL, and you look at this MRI, sometimes it’s old injuries,” Shanahan said. “That’s why he’s going to fly down there to see Dr. Andrews, get some new MRIs, get a physical examination.”
So how come the first one was clear as could be and suddenly the second one is not?

If you're talking about what Dr. Andrews said, he did clarify it and say that neither lied. He didn't get the chance to examine RG3 because RG3 wouldn't let him and just ran back in. Shanny looked over to Dr. Andrews and put up his hand assuming since he was still running that he was "ok". So Shanny told the truth and Dr. Andrews told the truth.Originally Posted by PennSkinsFan

I think Andrews' "clarification" is just a cover. That's some encouraging news about the NFLPA. I hope the NFLPA makes a lot of noise about it, there needs to be accountability here. Once again, Shannahan proves to everyone why he should not be the leader of the Skins. He has made bad decision after bad decision since he has been here. The only great thing he did was draft Alfred Morris. I really cant say drafting RGIII because we really cant tell what Griffin will show up over the next couple of years. PLEASE some one get him out of town. Thank Gosh we have have Davey Johnson, because the coaching here is terrible.
First off, WELCOME TO DCPSR!! . . . I am not sure what to think regarding Shanny . . . i think he did a great job with the team this year, but not sure how i feel about the way he handled RGIII's injury . . . the thing is a LOT of players play injured and hurt . . . that's part of the NFL . . . but i also agree with those that say he should have been more careful with RGIII due to all that was given up to get him and how much he means to the future of the franchise . . . tough call . . . i broke my leg in a pickup game when i was 15 and kept playing on it even though i couldn't barely move . . . but that was the competitor in me not wanting to give in or give up . . .
Thanks! I really understand the competitor in Griffin. As a head coach its your duties to oversea your team in every aspect. When you have an investment like that, you must take every precaution there is. Im sorry, but I rather have had a healthy qb going into next year and taking my chances with Cousins.
Welcome and I agree with you. I do give Shanahan credit for some things (Alfred Morris, Kirk Cousins, and a clever offensive strategy for this year) but this thing is just mind boggling STUPID. What's worse he won't take the responsibility for it. We've seen Kyle play that card too. I think he is just past it, it's time to play golf or get a desk job. He failed the team hugely. I think Snyder will keep him though but more things like this are likely to happen. If RG3 doesn't come back at full strength then Shanahan will get roasted more, and the more I think about it the more I see the old "curse" of Dan Snyder is still with us. In fact, when you look at Redskin history it's only the first Joe Gibbs era in which the team was consistently competitive. Before that period and after that, it isn't much to brag about. I've been a Skins fan since I was a kid in 1965. I even remember Gary Beban! (He won the Heisman in 1967 and came to the Skins but never really developed or maybe was mishandled). I just hope RG3 recovers fully.
