Source (Washington Post):

Redskins linebacker London Fletcher has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December, the NFL announced Thursday.

In five games, Fletcher recorded 51 tackles, four pass breakups, three interceptions and two sacks.
Fletcher was the only player in the NFL with three interceptions and two sacks in the month of December. His 51 tackles were tied for second in the league.

That production is even more impressive because the 37-year-old has been hampered by a sprained ankle that has forced him out of most practices and at times has put him in a walking boot.

Fletcher recorded 139 tackles (the third-highest total of his career), three sacks, 11 pass deflections (tied for first in his career), and a career-high five interceptions.
Congratulations Fletch!! This is a well deserved honor as he has been simply Awesome down the stretch. His may have started this season slowly, but with the way he has played lately, even banged up to where he cannot practice, has been stellar and is one of the big reasons the Redskins won the NFC East title!!
