Can the Redskins win the NFC East this weekend?

So, I just sat down and did the math and if I'm correct, we could clinch the East with a win and a Dallas & NY Loss. Here's how the tiebreakers work.

    Two Clubs

    1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
    2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
    3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
    4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

    Three or More Clubs

(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).

    1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
    2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
    3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.

So if we win and the other 2 lose this week, that will put us at 9-6 & the others at 8-7. Our Division record could then end no less than a tie with Dallas and would beat the NYG. So, NY is eliminated and it moves between Dallas and Washington. We could do no worse than a tie with Dallas in the division. We would then be tied with Dallas in common games at 8-5. That would bring it down to conference record between us and Dallas. When we beat Philly this weekend that will give us a conference record of 7-4 and a loss to New Orleans would drop Dallas to 5-6.

Common Games between Washington & Dallas

    OPP-----WASH------DAL
    Saints-----W---------L
    Bengals----L---------W
    Bucs------W---------W
    Falcons----L---------L
    Steelers---L---------W
    Panthers---L---------W
    Eagles-----W---------W
    Giants-----W---------L
    Ravens----W---------L
    Browns----W---------W
    Eagles-----W---------W
    Vikings----W---------L
    Giants-----L---------W

    Wins------8---------8
    Losses----5---------5

If Div doesn't count towards common games it would still be 5-4 v 5-4.

Anyone care to check my math and how I'm figuring this?

i haven't had time to check your math or do any research . . . i do know that on total access they stated if that ended up being the case that dallas would win to to common opponents tie breaker . . . not sure why their's s different . . . so if we tied, tied head to head and tied in the division and tied on common opponents, then how does the math add up for conference record??

Dallas wins that stat only if they win against NO. Otherwise we're tied.

Cowboys lost in OT, Giants losing to Baltimore but it's early. So even if Skins lose to Cowboys we still win the division?? (assuming Giants also lose)

    S.
Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora has given the Redskins' rookie sensation a new title –- one typically reserved for knights.
"His name is Sir," said Umenyiora, who was born in London. "His name is Sir Robert Griffin. That is what I refer to him now.

No, I finally see what I did wrong in my figures. The Cowgirls did not play the Vikings and for some reason I thought they did. So they beat us in Common games. We have to beat them to win the East regardless of what happens for the rest of the day.

Wish we could have won it today and rested next week but have to win.
