Really simple playoff formula. Win out.
For the first time in many year (1999), the Redskins don't need to watch the scoreboard. Take care of your business and you get a home playoff game.
As professionals, isn't that what you want when you report to training camp in July and start sweating it out?
i am tore on Dallas' next game . . . in one way i would like them to drop a game back . . . but if the skins can win vs Philly, playing Dallas for the division championship would be AWESOME!!!
I will always root for and taking a concerned interest in Dallass losing any game, if only for the exasperated look on Jerry Jones face and to see Tony Romo rip off his chin strap in anger. Good times.
Even if they lose next week we would still have to beat them to win the division. If they lose plus beat us in the final game both teams would be at 9-7 with some division record 3-2. They would have the next advantage. So we have to win out to win the division. Not to mention the Giants could win out and if we lose 1 game the Giants would win the division at 10-6.
The only game that matters in the world right now is this Sunday against the Iggles.
AGREED!! . . . this is the Eagles . . . they are not going to just rollover and dye . . . we need to concentrate on this game and take care of business . . . even after the last few games i have that here we go again feeling that just won away no matter how many times its wrong . . . hopefully its will continue to be wrong and eventually my unconscious pessimism will go away finally!! . . . i guess after being bad for so long its going to take a long time to get used to not expecting the worse . . .
The Iggles still have talent at the skill positions with McCoy coming back and one would assume Foles has got nothing but better since his first start against us. The can still rush the passer. If we have a slow start against the Iggles on offense like we did against the Browns, it will be a different story.
We need to start fast like we did against the Ravens and finish strong like we did against the Browns.
