Brown is not going to be one of them. I hope they cut him before the season, even if it doesn't save much cap.
Brown will start the season on the PUP and be eligible to come off in week 6 and then have about 3 weeks to decide what to do with him at that point.

Either Smith or Compton goes to the practice squad for a total of 9.
They only keep 8 last year but if they lost their guy then we would be in trouble.
While LeRibeus has seemed to play that well they got a 3rd in him. I am hoping he can play center.

    Montgomery, Will C/G
    Chester, Chris G
    Gettis, Adam G
    Hurt, Maurice G
    LeRibeus, Josh G
    Lichtensteiger, Kory G/C
    Black, Jordan OL
    Polumbus, Tyler OT
    Compton or Smith T

The answer to this question now has an answer. Smith was released today.

Safe to say at backup tackle, the Redskins went with the Vet over the Youth, in choosing Jordan Black over Smith.

Willie Smith apparently confirmed that if he clears waivers, he will be offered a PS spot.

When the dust settles, Jordan Black and Cedric Griffin making this team will be very disappointing. It also sets the direction on what we need to net EARLY on in the 2013 draft.

Agreed, With only a second and third and needing both a CB and T. It doesn't leave room much for BPA.

If you go CB in the 2nd round and OT in the third, I have to think that is a significant upgrade over a nearly retired 30 year old OT and a over the hill DB we currently have.
