Paulsen can't be cut, who is going to block to cover for the poor line play.

But they can't keep 5 RBs, 4 TEs and 6 WRs. I am thinking they need to keep 9 or 10 OL so something has to give or else they only have 23 on D.

Rex helped himself last week, but.....

I still do not see how Cooley can help this team. He is not an effective lead blocker from the FB position, he is not a ball carrier, lacks explosion and won't press the safeties down the seam, goes down on first contact now. Not a good edge blocker. Fan favorite, not wife and brother with a cool name does not help a team win football games. He is way past his prime.

Keeping Cooley prevents a young promising player from making the team, IMO.

i believe we have enough pass catching TE's without Cooley and that Paulsens blocking helps the Redskins more than Cooley's pass catching ability . . . and i am a HUGE Cooley fan!!

I prefer Paulsen over Cooley as well. Fred Davis is the go to guy at TE. Paulsen is an excellent blocker, but in odd situations, has shown quality hands. If Cooley makes it, it may be more to do with the health of the fullback.

Paul, as we have seen, can also return KO's and can play on coverage teams, something Cooley cannot do. Also, I would keep Boyce before Cooley. Young and hungry is what we need.

lets just hope that Davis stays clean and healthy, Paul progresses and learns how to play TE and Paulsen is the blocking beast we believe he can be . . . it that all happens this is a great move . . .
