Redskins win create tougher position battles

    http://dcprosportsreport.com/2012/08...her-after-win/

The Washington Redskins 30-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts was a convincing win in which the Redskins jumped to the lead, played with the lead, and controlled the game. The win also made some roster decisions that much harder for the Redskins staff.

I think Alfred Morris should be kept on the roster, he looked fantastic. I would keep him over Royster as i havent really been impressed with him.

The other battle i see is at TE with Cooley/Davis/Paulsen/Paul. Think we keep 3 and i think Paulsen is the odd man out.

You are correct with the WRs as Garcon/Hankerson/Moss/Morgan are givens on the roster. I think they keep at least 1 more possibly 2 more. And i think Briscoe gets the nod.

You woud, think Paul has an advantage at TE. Dude is a good special teamed and when you are fighting for a reserve spot, that's huge.

Not sure about Paulsen, he is a good blocker and with the oline problem might be needed to help against good dlines.

I think that Crawford/Barnes gets the nod over Cedric Griffin. I also think that Doughty, Austin, Banks and Armstrong are traded or cut. Even a 7th would be better than nothing.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Cooley get traded but think that has faded as the fan reaction would be deafening.

hmm . . . hard to argue with Alfred Morris as he has looked pretty good, especially for a late round rookie . . . at TE, i really think keeping Paulsen would be the best option, but i don't think ShannyCo sees it the same way and Paulsen will be shown the door . . . and Briscoe sure wants his opportunity . . .my WR's are as follows: Garcon/Hankerson/Moss/Morgan/Robinson/Briscoe . . . .

tis true . . . Paul can do a lot on Special Teams . . . to me, this really means Cooley should be the odd man out . . . he is old and coming off of a major injury . . . i feel we need Paulsen's blocking, Davis' receiving and if keeping Paul, where does that leave room for Cooley?? one of my favorite players, but I think its time to either let him go or see if we can get anything for him . . .

if you listen to what the coaches say, brandon banks has to make the team as a wr,and so far,he has not.he'll be the next to go in next week's cuts.Redskins have to keep Briscoe,he is just too tough and good of a wr to let go.i would not be at all shocked if the jets did'nt try to trade for cooley or davis since their tight end tore his acl last night.

i was stoked with Banks a couple of years ago . . . not so much anymore . . . i feel the Skins are better off with a real WR than Banks and it is simply time to let Banks go . . . as for Briscoe, i really think he has earned himself a roster spot and with the fact that Robinson didn't play at all last week i feel he has already locked one up as well . . . bye bye brandon banks, terrance austin, anthony armstrong . . .
