He played like a beast when he played in the 2012 season . . . too bad it was for just a handful of snaps more than a half a game . . . hopefully he can get his knees into decent working order and be healthy next season as he looked good playing SS out there . . .Safety Brandon Meriweather will miss the remainder of the Washington Redskins’ season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Coach Mike Shanahan announced Monday.
It was Meriweather’s first game of the season. He had been sidelined by an injury to his left knee that he aggravated twice.
Meriweather started and played a little more than one half before injuring his knee. He had an interception in his Redskins debut.
