    You don't think it has anything to do with the fact that he was no better than the 3rd best TE on the team? Athletically, after 9 years in the league, he was no match for Davis and Paul. Problem with the fans and the release of Cooley is that too many people still think he is the TE that scored 3 TD's against Dallass in 2005. That was 7 years and many miles ago. The real fact is that Cooley scored 6 TD's over the last 4 years. That's not enough production.

    Was the timing disrespectful to Cooley. I suspect Shanahan kept him until now just in case someone was injured or some other "mistake" by one of the TE. As a Thank You for all he has done for the Redskins, he would have been better served if the Redskins had cut him back in June. My 2 Cents.

    Hearing the crowd yell "Cooooooley" was the highlight of some games!

    Here's to better things to be cheering about!!!

    I loved him to. Hopefully he returns or goes to the booth. Might be a better play by play than Larry.
