Week 6: The good, the bad, the ugly & what it all means

    The Fifth Quarter:
IT WAS OVER WHEN... WR Santana Moss fumbled at the Washington 43 yard line after receiving a perfect 11-yard pass from QB Robert Griffin III with about 40 seconds to play. The killer play, though, was moments before when Giants WR Victor Cruz beat CB Josh Wilson and FS Madieu Williams for a 76-yard TD pass. Head Coach MIke Shanahan appeared to be livid with rage after the game talking about the Redskins secondary allowing Cruz to beat the double team on that play.

    STATISTICALLY SPEAKING... The putrid...

Not sure if you could say " It's a tall order for RG3 and today he wasn't quite up to it. "

As i truthfully think he was up for it. Just the team let him down. He already lead 1 go ahead TD in the final minutes and he had to go right back out and the offense was moving again. Just Moss let them strip the ball(and that was even with him securing it).

yeah . . . even though Griffin threw a bad pick and had a fumble . . . he was AMAZING!! . . . without him the game would not have been close . . . i know he has only played in 7 games, but it would be hard to pick another QB i would want on this team right now . . . we need to remember he is a rookie . . . AND if he keeps growing and learning and improving just think what kind of player he will be 2 - 3 years down the road . . . WOW!!

the Skins need to find a way to shore up the secondary (yeah i know . . . not going to happen before next year) and beef up an offensive line and WR core . . . then look out world!!

This team is definitely going in the right direction. We have our 3 hardest positions to fill shored up. QB/RB/LT, now we need to work on our DBs and get better safeties and CBs.

Griffin is the only reason the games this year have been as close as they are.without that last turnover,we'd have won! morris and haslett share the blame on that last td pass to cruz.just stupid to let him get behind them like that at any point, much less when there is less than two minutes left to play.

i don't believe that Hasslet/Morris schemed to allow a wide open WR to get past the deep safety . . . thats on Williams . . . the initially coverage was Wilson . . . they are who i blame . . .

I agree, as much as i blame our defensive scheme on Hasslet, that was a terrible play by the safety williams.

In the end,the buck stops with the coaches. why not put somebody way back like williams did when we had a short lead with under two minutes left, just as a safety valve? stupid play by williams, even dumber by the coaches to not put a player back as a last chance to keep whoever from scoring!

The thing is I believe Williams was supposed to, just like Pugh on the other side. Pugh went backwards at the snap just like Williams should have. I even think he lined up wrong and was too busy looking in the backfield.

You would think that the captain of the D would have told them that in the huddle before the snap,ya know?
