    We easily blame Jim Haslett

    BUT

When does Raheem Morris stop getting a free pass?

I dunno. Not sure how much Haz and Morris can do with the personnel they've got. I think Haz has actually done a good job this year trying to make up for the roster problems. This is a terrible secondary, people. Seriously. This looks like the worst secondary in the NFL -- by a wide margin. Some of that is injuries and some of it is guys just not playing well. Mostly it is the latter.

I'm not kidding, the personnel in our secondary is awful. The only player in our secondary I'd want on my team is Josh Wilson and some days I'm not even sure about him. The rest of the guys, you can have them. They're mediocre to awful.

I think the whole thing is just bad. Hall and Wilson are better suited for man coverage but they are being forced into zone coverage which they suck and our Safeties are not covering the deep ball very well. Madieu Williams as a safety should have never let Cruz run right past him. I would be fine keeping Hall(discounted rate) and wilson but overhauled the safety position again cause they all suck. dont cover deep, dont cover TEs, is there anything they can do?

I blame the players on the field on the td play because common sense will tell you the coaches told them to not let anybody get behind them like that.I think haslett is a lot like ron lynn was as norv's dc here,a lot of potential that just never proved he was worth a damn.

Agree with this . . . i don't care who we have coaching back there until there are some competent pieces in the secondary its going to be the weak piece on this team . . .

How much was Haz/Morris involed in the selection of players like Williams, Griffin, Merriweather, etc ? I have heard/read rumors of moving Hall to free safty, and putting Griffin/Crawford at corner; at least on certain packages.

I Hope this is hall's last season cause his bark is way louder than his bite is!
not having a safety valve as a last line of defense on that last series was stupid!

Madieu Williams was looking into the backfield and too tight to the LOS with a 3 point lead and less than 2 minutes left. Who called that alignment to bring him that close to the LOS? Cruz ran right through the zone. No one jammed him, redirected him or even covered him. That play was entirely too easy for the Giants. It can't be that easy to score when you have a lead. It would be one thing if they got physically beat, but the call was horrendous.

I was wondering the same thing while watching it live...why was he not atleast 20 yards off the LOS? He looked like he was playing the run all the way IMO.

i also read that Wilson was supposed to jam Cruz, but whiffed . . . then it was up to Williams to keep the deep pass covered . . . play call was right . . . it was execution, both Wilson and Williams, but IMO Williams had the bigger responsibility as his job was to double Cruz and provide coverage over the top if Cruz got past Wilson . . .
