The Eagles have fired Defensive Coordinator Juan Castillo and hired a former Redskins defensive back to take his place.

That is what happens when you hire an offensive coordinator to be your defense coordinator

I Like andy reid.i feel like he is a very good guy in a bad situation.i remember todd bowles as a redskins db,he still owns the team record for longest td return of an interception. 103 yards against the vikings late in the 1987 season.

I literally laughed out loud when they initally hired this guy. His last defense experience was coaching high school DC. All other jobs were offensive assistant or OL coach and he somehow got the job as a DC? This was a Zorn type debacle for them.

This week's game vs the Giants is going to be HUGE for us.

    Giants: 4-2
    Eagles: 3-3 (somehow)
    Skins: 3-3
    Cowboys: 2-3

It is by far going to be the most important game of the season. If we drop it to the G-man, they start to run away in the division. The Eagles are on a bye (so I guess they can't turn it over anymore this week), and the Cowboys have a "favorable" match-up with the Panthers.

If we can upset New York, it will be a huge victory towards playoff aspirations. Obviously it isn't win and get in or anything, but it would put us tied at the top of the division and give us huge momentum moving forward.

In the wise words of Bart Scott, CAN"T WAIT!

I agree that this game is huge. We have 2 very difficult games coming up with the Giants then going to Pitt. Probably our 2 hardest games back to back so this 3 game stretch before our by is going to tell alot about us. If we beat 2 out of 3 we should be sitting pretty with at least being tied at the top of the divison or 1 game up.
