TAMPA, Fla. | Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather and receiver Aldrick Robinson left the field after colliding during warm-ups Sunday little more than two hours before kickoff against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meriweather’s left knee hit Robinson in the head as Robinson bent over to pick up a ball in the end zone, according to people who were on the field at the time of the incident.

Meriweather missed the first three games of the season with a left knee sprain. He was listed on Friday’s injury report as probable.

Robinson stayed prone for minutes after the collision as medical personnel and members of the training staff tended to him. He obviously was shaken up as he walked slowly off the field.

    This beyond bizarre.

That's putting it mildly. Who does this, but the Redskins?

On another subject, the Niners are crushing the Jets 34-0. The back pages of the NY Post and NY Daily News are going to be hilarious tomorrow morning. Teblow has been in the game, but done nothing. Niners defense is too good and too smart to fall for Tebow's schtick.

Rams won at home over the Seahawks. Now looks like the Redskins loss in St. Louis wasn't as bad as first thought. I mean, the defense and defensive game plan were terrible, but the Rams appear to be better than people thought.

Also, no way would the Rams get away with their defensive game plan if the real refs had played. They knew that, though, and took advantage of the replacement refs and the Redskins. Washington game-planned as if the refs were not an issue, which was a huge mistake

Madieu Williams made a nice break on that pass to Vincent Jackson to break it up. Josh Freeman should have thrown the ball earlier.

Nice hit on Freeman by DeAngelo Hall. Totally legal and clean.

Redskins offense didn't look ready at all on that first series. No blocking on the run play, RG3 never really had time to look down the field on second down. Third down was just a straight screen pass where you hope the defense misses a tackle, but they didn't.

The Giants put up a ton of points and yards on the Bucs. Let's see what we can do. Giants are better than us, that's for sure.

Rob Jackson played the reverse perfectly, he just wasn't athletic enough to make the tackle

Holding saves the Redskins on that long run by Doug Martin, but the Skins better wake up. They're in a football game right now, but they don't seem to know it.
