he did . . . but that was his "after week 1" rankings . . . the Skins were not listed in the "after week 2" version . . . it is supposed to be like a o-line power poll . . .
He needs to be checked out and sent to rehab or he has that same disease that causes the mayor of chicago has on "Boss" to hallucinate constantly what ever that is! That or the guy has hysterical blindness when looking at the redskins oline!
we have about the 31st or the 33rd best oline in the league, and there is only 32 teams in the NFL! lol

If TW can't go on Sunday, the Redskins will not have 1 single draft choice starting on the offensive line against TB. By contrast, look at the top teams in the league and see how many draft picks are starting on their O lines. You need to draft well at every position by the 5 person group that comprises the starting O line and the usually 2 to 3 deep reserves on game day need many picks to build a formidable unit that can play together week after week.
TW, for all of his talents and skills, has a problem staying healthy. His most recent injury was on the most benign of blocks. Wasn't cutting, didn't get rolled up. This is particularly troubling. I have serious doubts that he will ever play 16 games in a season for us.
He was injured on the 2nd play of the game. The first run went to the right side, away from him. The second play came to his side and Alf cut off of his block. He was engaged one on one against the DE sealing the edge. If you can tell me what hit his bone in his leg on that particular play, other than his femur (is the bruise on the tibia, fibula or femur?), I'm all ears.
his bone bruise is on his right knee . . . thats all it says . . . Source: Washington Post:
so, if he did not hit his knee on something, how is it possible to have a bone bruise on his knee???Left tackle Trent Williams did not participate in the Washington Redskins’ practice Wednesday. Williams suffered a bone bruise on his right knee during last Sunday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Redskins have listed his status as day to day.
I think Trent Williams is a terrific player and as long as he can stay away from weed [or at least testing positive for it], I have no concerns about him. I don't see a chronic injury in his past or present.
ISF is correct to point out, though, the lack of attention paid to the offensive line by the Redskins over the years. They didn't draft an O-lineman in the first two rounds from 2001-2009. Shanny drafted a couple of guards in the middle of the last draft, but didn't give the right tackle position a second thought. I don't know how many times I wrote that Jammal Brown was a ticking time bomb of injuries and would never play a full season. Now looks like he may not play a season at all.
It's all well and good to design a blocking scheme that de-emphasizes size, allowing you to fill some holes with lower round picks. Sooner or later, though, you have to have raw talent on the line and there just isn't enough of it right now. Tyler Polumbus and Jordan Black both sucked last Sunday. I'm not really blaming them -- they're not supposed to be playing this much. They are, though, because Shanny wasn't worried about Jammal Brown and no suitable backup for Trent Williams was ever found. [Don't think they even looked for one, actually.]
The Redskins could have had RT Eric Winstone if they had passed on Josh Morgan. Winstone is a good blocker and familiar with the offense from his time in Houston. Would have been a great signing. But we didn't need him because we had Jammal Brown and what are the odds he'd get hurt, right?
