Mike Shanahan confirmed a 'mild concussion'
With us being the Redskins, i fear it is much worse than that.
Not that bad.But i hope he sits out next week because a mild concussion is still a concussion.

he needs to get right . . . whether that means he plays this week or next or the week after . . . once he is healthy he needs to get back out there as the Skins will do nothing without him . . .
Update on RGIII and the concussion requirements . . . Source (Washington Post):
so far so good!! . . . fingers crossed of course!!! . . .Quote:
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said quarterback Robert Griffin III, who suffered a concussion Sunday, is having a day of rest and undergoing tests Monday.
Griffin will take a physical test on a treadmill Tuesday. Shanahan said Griffin had no symptoms Monday afternoon and will see an independent neurologist Monday evening. The Redskins will continue to monitor him for concussion symptoms during the week, the coach said.
Shanahan said he could tell looking at Griffin’s eyes Sunday that something wasn't right and told the quarterback to see the doctors, even though Griffin thought he was fine. Griffin initially knew the score of the Redskins game, but minutes later couldn't recall the score or the quarter during subsequent evaluation.
Shanahan said that if Griffin does suffer a setback, the evaluation process will continue each day.
P.S. did you guys notice the last paragraph regarding Brown??
while i would love for that to be correct, i am certainly not holding my breath . . .Quote:
Shanahan said right tackle Jammal Brown is feeling good, is going through conditioning work and could play after the Redskins’ Nov. 11 bye week.
Thoughts??
I really hope there are no setbacks with Griffin. If we have any chance to win this year we need him for every game. But one minor setback he needs to not play at all. Do not want to risk him getting further injured.
Would love to have a 100% healthy Brown back. That would be a big boost for us. But like you i am not holding my breath.
Griffin passed cardio tests and will practice tomorrow. Will be evaluated again after practice.
I just want RG3 to slide more and not take so many hits. On this particular play he should have thrown the ball away or ran out of bounds. no way he should have been hit.
Very good news he passed the tests, now lets hope he stays symptom free the rest of the week.

RGIII practice today and said he felt good, sharp, and symptom free. Is ready for Sunday.
Call obviously though is still with a doctor.
