if Garcon is out, Robinson will get a good chance to show what he can do . . . hopefully he will prove to be better than expected . . . i could see a 5 for 80 type of game from him . . . i'll take that

I think it is a safe assumption to assume Aldrick Robinson earned the start for Garçon. Haven't seen that yet, but I have seen that if Hank wants playing time, Hank has to deserve it. Will also be interesting to see with Garçon out if they rely more on Moss as well.

I "spoke" to a couple of beat reporters and asked them if Grossman is on the roster to help teach the offense to RG3 and Cousins. They both said that's the reason. So I think it is safe to say that's the reason.

Redskins should have a huge advantage in this game if they can keep Steven Jackson in check. Keep Jackson to about 100 total yards and that should give the Skins the win unless they turn the ball over repeatedly. The Rams have a poor and injured offensive line and their wideouts are pedestrian.

Great job by O-line on second drive. That 27 yard run by Morris was mostly due to O-line. I gave Morris only 6 yards after contact on that play, that's how good the blocking was.

The TD pass was great, but what I loved was the play before that. Fantastic patience by RG3. He didn't panic when the play wasn't there. He held the ball and bought time with his feet until Josh Morgan got open and RG3 hit him for the first down. Really veteran play by the kid there.

Now, THAT is what I've expected from our secondary. Amendola wide wide wide open. No one even close. I suspect we'll see plenty more of that this year.

Well, Haslett is obviously having a lot of trouble with the Rams offense. Amendola still isn't covered. Not enough consistent pressure on Bradford. Offense better keep scoring points because I our defense doesn't look up to it.

Redskins defense gave up 264 yards of offense in the first half. That's not good.
Rams held the ball for 19:10 in the first half. That's not good either.

Offense looks pretty shaky right now. So many negative plays that it is hard to stick with the running game.

Lots of long drives by the Rams. If they had been able to get to the end zone on more of them this game would be a blowout. I have to say, though, this is the secondary I expected to see all season. The Redskins really have to get pressure because we can't cover for more than a second or two at the most.

Counting on getting some YAC, but Rams tackled well on that play. Their secondary was about the worst in the NFL last year, but it looks a lot better than ours today.

I probably would have gone for it, too. Obviously, 4th and 16 is a tough situation to be in, but I'd prefer RG3 with that to Cundiff trying a 62-yard FG. Not a terrible decision by Shanny, but I would have gone another way.
