TE Fred Davis has been cleared by doctors and able to resume 100% practice activities.

Now the Redskins just need to determine what they plan to do with Davis and his contract situation. Contract expires in two weeks and then he becomes a UFA.

yeah . . . tough call . . . being that he was franchised last year, a long term contract would cost less this year, but it would have to be incentive driven for me to be happy . . . protect the team from Davis being injured or suspended and i would love to have him stick around!!

You can't give Davis anything but a backloaded 2-year contract that is essentially torn up after the first year. Or a simple one-year contract. He's one puff away from a year-long suspension and he's coming off a serious injury.
