Nobody covered much of anything on that drive. Very disappointed the defense allowed Lynch to pick up a fumble and get 18 yards on the play. Really no excuse for that.

Redskins just need halftime right now. Seattle's going to score a touchdown or a field goal on this drive, probably a touchdown. Washington needs to gather itself at halftime and figure out what's going wrong on the defense. Too many wide open receivers. The Skins still lead, but the game looks like it is going to turn into a Seattle rout unless the Skins can prove they've got more than two quick jabs in their arsenal.

Well, that's the best we could have hoped for in that situation. Redskins are on the ropes, but they have halftime to gather their wits. Seattle gets the ball first in the second half and they'll blow this thing wide open on that first drive unless the defense figures out how to respond to the Seattle play-action and read-option offense.

Skins are getting killed by an offense very similar to the one they run. The defense practices against this, but I guess seeing it done by Seattle has thrown them completely off.

Personally, I think the Skins are a in a lot of trouble. The defense seems completely befuddled and the pass rush that bothered Seattle in the first quarter is gone. The offense is going to have to score a couple more touchdowns, at least, I would think, just to keep the Skins in this game.

I understand, and agree to a point, but I have a huge amount of faith in our in our back-up (don't know if I've ever felt that way before and I've been a fan since the mid-70s), and if Griffin has one flaw I've seen it's pushing an injury too far. His play the second quarter just wasn't good enough to play again next sunday.

I agree, but you have to look at him and see that he's incredibly hobbled and is needed later on. Let us not forget, that two wins in our 7 game streak are directly attributed to Kirk Cousins. If you sit RG3 to start the second half and Cousins can lead to a victory RG3 may be back next week. But now even if Cousins pulls off a miracle, RG3 is done till next year.

I have to agree they should have sat RG3 sooner, he didn't look too great in the last game and really no excuse for letting him continue this one after the 2nd quarter. If he's got a torn ACL, I think that one is on Shanahan. I know RG3 wanted to play, but Cousins can do the job and there are times when you have to think about preserving Griffin's CAREER, not just winning one game.

I place this loss squarely on Shanny and son. Cousins in the game earlier would've meant we could've continued to run the ball and had some semblance of offense. It was obvious that RG3 would've been upset, but he would've understood after the game win or lose. And it's weird hearing Aikman say nice things about us.
