You have to think this was the plan along. As Spence pointed out, Cousins took, all first team snaps all week. Plus, Garçon let the cat out of the bag early in the week. They knew.

I think that's about right. It's OK, it's best not to risk RG3 or treat this game like it's a do or die thing, this team has some growing to do regardless. It'll be good to see what Cousins can do.

It will be interesting to see how much our offense changes with cousins starting.

It will be good to see what he can do. I sure hope the rest of the team brings their A Game because they are going to need it. Limit the penalties and turnovers and we got a shot.
Not that different from the rest of the year.

It will be interesting to see if Garcon is his favorite target.

if we are going to win this i think it will be far have to be lower scoring and our D is going to have to help out with some turnovers and maybe a score of their own . . . while i think Cousins has potential, he is no where near as fleet of foot as RGIII, so our o-line, that doesn't normally pass block worth a darn is going to have to really step up this week . . . and we will find out without a doubt this week if it is RGIII making all of this work . . . or if maybe we are better at the other positions that we (I) think . . . Alfred Morris' biggest challenge too . . . will be interesting for sure . . . but we need it . . . LETS GO REDSKINS!!!

Kudos to Kirk Cousins. Redskins were 2.5 point favorites. When RGII was announced out, they became 2.5 underdogs. Disrespect. Way to show them you rookie fourth rounder!

Got to like the turnovers. I would never have guess 38 points!!
After many seasons of 18 point games I could not be happier.
The one that pissed me off the most was the one in Dallas that we lost 7 to 6 in the last minutes. Not that I thought they would win but I was hoping.
Shanny has something going now.

Cousins 329 passing yards today are tops for the Skins this year.
Cousins passer rating of 104.4.
28 points in the second half is the most points by the Redskins in one half of football this year.
On six drives in the second half, the Redskins scored 4 touchdowns, punted once and kneeled down in the red zone.
I think someone needs to give it up for Kyle Shanahan. Last year many members on this site were calling him a bum as a play caller and wanted him out. Now that he has NFL calibre talent he is looking much better, no? He consistently creates game plans and calls plays that produce QB's with QB ratings over 100.
I always said give him talent like Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson and you would get the same results. Well, we don't have a true #1 WR like Johnson, but I'd argue that we have better QB talent now and look at the results. Everyone is learning just what the pistol formation and the zone read scheme can do and it is taking the league by storm.

Kyle definitely deserves some kudos!!! . . . what i do like is that his WR's seem to always be open . . . now that we have QB's that can get them the ball his is looking like a genius . . . love the balanced attack and his willingness to stick with the run too !!

Both Shanahans have done a great job this year, as has Jim Haslett -- though I don't think the latter will get much credit for it. I keep reading Kyle Shanahan will be a hot head coaching commodity this year and I don't doubt it. I thought the plan was for Dad to win a Super Bowl and then hand the reins over to his son while the old man become a full-time GM. I wonder if Kyle will get an offer good enough to nix that plan and set off on his own.

I'll dissent on this one. I think RG3 and Morris have made all the difference to save the Shanahans. A team that leads the league in penalties is not a well coached team, to mention only one area, but if you win nobody cares. But the penalties can still make the difference against more competitive teams. And our defense has got a long way to go.

hmmm . . . i do think that the offensive game plans have VASTLY improved . . . but part of that i'm sure has to do with better players running them . . . Haslett . . . hmmmmmer . . . lol . . . his defense was NOT at all prepared coming into the season . . . he was horrible at making adjustments . . . BUT, for whatever reason, he has been making GREAT defensive adjustments during this streak . . . especially in the Giants and Ravens games . . . but he still hasn't been able to really play 2 solid halves . . . but he is very lacking talent too . . . not sure what i would do with him . . . but the Shanny's would be going no where . . .
