Now we can all exhale.

Injury is a right knee sprain. No decision or time table on RGIII.

if he has to sit out a game i am not sure if we can win. Dont really know how Cousins will do for an entire game. And Cleveland for the past 2-3 weeks has actually started to look like an NFL team, so they will not be a pushover.

The important thing is to avoid aggravating RG3's injury even if that means missing the playoffs. The future of this team is riding on his good health. And for some odd reason, I have a lot of confidence in Cousins though. He isn't RG3 but he just may pull it off the way he came into the Ravens game and did the job.

if he is medically cleared to play, then he should play . . . he is a football player after all . . . if not, we roll with cousins and see what he can do with a week as the starter in practice and a game plan designed around his strengths . . .

I would be for playing him if he is clear but I don't think that Kirk loses us the game unless he throws a ton of picks. Mistake free ball will win. Limit the penalties and turnovers.

I think he sits this week.

Thats a big task --- eliminating penalties. I don't know what it is with this team and the undisciplined nature of their play. I suspect that if RGIII does not play, we may see a lot more of Alfred Morris and Evan Royster.

Keep in mind that is the same knee he had a torn ACL on in 2009 which sidelined him for almost a year. Medical research shows that athletes who have one torn ACL are at high risk of having another one when they return to play.

the MRI showed no issues whatsoever with the ACL, MCL or PCL . . . just a stretch (grade 1 sprain) of the LCL . . . as for knee sprains go, that is as minor as it gets . . . i'm not saying the should play just to play, but we didn't draft him to be a ballerina dancer, we drafted him to be a football player . . . football players play through pain as long as its not detrimental to his long term health . . .

I agree with this. Truthfully i would have no problem with him sitting this week to get his health in order. But if he is cleared to play by the docs then he will play. He was more than willing to go back in the game last week so i dont see him not playing if he has been cleared.

He was drafted to be a football player sure, but we didn't draft him to burn him up and throw him away in one season either. But for some people he's like a new toy and they can't get enough.

all i am saying is IF he is healthy enough we need to play him . . . a lot of people are calling for him to get the week off regardless of the status of his knee, like they were with the concussion . . . if his knee is healthy enough and the risk of worsening the injury is low, then we NEED him on the field . . . THIS WEEK is a big game!!

Correct. BUT, only if the risk of re-injuring or worsening is low. RGIII will play if he can. It is just part of who he is. He will bug this staff until they give in, if he feels he can go.

Robert Griffin III is on the field for practice. Did leg lifts, stretches and shuffle steps. #Redskins #RedskinsTalk

I don't know to what extent @RGIII will participate in team drills (can't watch that) but I'm shocked by how much he's able to do.#Redskins

Should be noted that there was no brace on the outside of his sweat pants. #RedskinsTalk #Redskins

RG3 is a freak!
