Other than QB, the Redskins have average talent at nearly all other positions. But the QB is a difference maker that makes everyone on offense soooo much better. We are seeing the difference a QB can make this year. The only necessary upgrade we need on offense at this point is at RT, assuming others stay healthy.

I would not break the bank to keep Davis. Cooley is a complete non contributor. He (Cooley) can't see it yet, but I think he is in denial. His speed is gone and was never much of a blocker. Paulsen and Paul will be back next year and I fully expect much better things from Paul the rest of this season and next year as he refines his technique. Maybe they can draft a 3rd stringer somewhere in rounds 5-7. Rounds 2-4 have to be RT and DB's, I just don't think a difference maker of a pass rusher will fall to round 2, but it would be nice. It is imperative, however, that the team does indeed "hit" on all of their draft choices in the next 2 years in the absence of 1st round picks.

I think we have a very good future at WR because of the accuracy of RGIII. His deep ball brings Banks and Robinson into play in a manner they were not last year. You have size in Hankerson and Morgan and Garcon looks like he can be a legit #1 when healthy. That catch and run he made on a crossing pattern against the pukes was amazing. I don't see a real need to invest in another offensive skill position player with the 2nd round pick next year while we have many more needs along the O line and back 4 on defense. Can you imagine this offense if the straight drop back passing game becomes an option and opposing defenses have to actually defend against it rather than just rushing the passer because our RT gets pushed back so easily?

i agree that Cooley is not the answer . . . Logan Paulsen is doing everything he can, but is NOT explosive or really a threat . . . his catches are when the defense decided to not worry about him too much . . . Paul on the other hand is intriguing, but he has a LONG LONG LONG way to go before he is a legitimate starter . . . so, IMO we need to add a receiving TE either through the draft (preferably later round, but TALL AND QUICK) or through FA, just don't spend a lot on the position . . .

and WR, i still think we need the BIG redzone WR . . . Hankerson has the size, but doesn't have the ability to go up and get it, we need that . . . also Hankerson's body control is not the greatest . . . i see him as a 4th or 5th WR . . . Banks simply has to go . . . he SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!! Robinson IMO is turning to be a good WR and needs more playing time . . . Morgan actually looks like less of a WR here than in San Fran . . . Garcon, when healthy is great, as long as he holds onto the ball . . . and while Moss is having a resurgant year, he is a slot WR at best and won't be around for long . . . i say a late round pick or college FA pick on some tall lanky WR projects is necessary . . . i hear what your are saying that RGIII makes them better, but just think what he can do if the are good to begin with . . . look at McNabb in Philly . . . he never had an WR's except TO . . . and when he had TO they were a MUCH more explosive offense . . .
