4 Redskins Questionable v. Broncos

Injury Report

The Washington Redskins list four players as questionable to play Sunday afternoon in Denver against the 6-1 Broncos. Those four are WR Leonard Hankerson [foot], NT Chris Neild [calf], DE Stephen Bowen [right knee] and S Reed Doughty [concussion]. Doughty has practiced this week, but did not do so on Friday.

Doughty is probably the most important person on that list since he is a starting safety and the team’s other starting safety, Brandon Meriweather, will miss the game due to a suspension [reduced from two games to one] for his two illegal hits against the Chicago Bears last Sunday. The Redskins will already probably need to use a rotation of players like DB EJ Biggers and CB DeAngelo Hall at safety. Without Doughty, the team would be very shorthanded. It isn’t known if rookie Bacarri Rambo, who started the first two games of the season but was benched due to his disastrous performance, might see the field on Sunday. He has not played a down from scrimmage since his week two benching.

Hankerson is a starting WR, but caught only one pass last week and is rarely a big part of the team’s offensive production. Neild did not play last week due to the same injury. Bowen is a starting defensive end, but he says he will not need surgery to repair the injured PCL in his knee and he will try to play Sunday.

TE Logan Paulsen [knee] and TE Jordan Reed [hip] are both expected to play. Paulsen is a starter and Reed was the team’s leading receiver last week.
