Washington Nationals 2009 first round phenom Stephen Strasburg (1-0) made his minor league debut today in AA Harrisburg. Strasburg also won his very first start today, as the Harrisburg Senators rallied form a 4-0 deficit to defeat Altoona 6-4.
Strasburg tossed 5 innings, allowing 4 runs, of which only 1 run earned, and scattered 4 hits while striking out 8 batters. Better yet, fellow 2009 first rounder, the tenth overall pick, Drew Storen, picked up his first save of the season, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings of relief, striking out 2 batters. A good day for Nationals 2009 first rounders.
