Speaking to 106.7 FM radio this afternoon, Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall said it was “definitely a little disheartening” that his teammates did not rush to the Falcons sideline to defend him while he was being surrounded and pummeled by as many as 9 Falcons players and coaches. However, he also said: “Disappointment is too big of a word that I’m prepared to throw out there. Some guys are just built different.” Either way, it doesn’t sound very complimentary towards his fellow Redskins players.
After the game, a visibly angry Hall vowed to complain to the NFL Commisioner’s office, something he said he has done, though he did not speak to the commish himself. Hall doubts the NFL will fine Atlanta head coach Mike Smith, saying “nothing is going to happen of it.” I suspect Hall is correct, though for getting himself physically involved in an active tussle, Smith probably deserves a reprimand from the league office.

Just one man’s take but DeAngelo has every right to be pissed off. He went in there to help get Laron out of a potential troublesome situation, got held by some shmuck tough guy assistant, all the while Dirty 30 is seen walking away.
Kudos to Justin Tryon and of course Big Al for coming to the rescue of a teammate.
Like LaVar said last night on JFK, “I would have taken the fine, but I would have…. jacked somebody up if that was my teammate”.
This reminded me so much of Jeff George being destroyed by the Cowboys on a sack years ago and not one of his linemen coming to his aide to get him up.
Laron is truly a player where the saying “no I in team, but there is an m and an e” applies.
Just another embarrassing disappointment to this pitiful season.
