Campbell likes the road better, Campbell is a bit ignorant as well

JCQB Jason Campbell thinks it is a good time to have a road game, it is easier.

DUH!

“The reason you say that is because if there’s a bad play or there’s a throw-away or something, we know why we had to do it,” Campbell said. “But from fans’ standpoint, they don’t understand. They think that everything’s always open or everything always supposed to be done a certain way. You don’t have to worry about the negativity. On the road, you can kind of regroup on the sideline and move forward.” QB Jason Campbell

Jason, you have never been the subject of the ire of DCPSR.  You’re still technically not, but the above statement is a bit of ignorance on your part as well, in particular, the bolded part for emphasis.

Problem here Jason is this.  It is not that fans expect  someone to always be open.  It is not that the fans expect thing to always be done a certain way.  You Sir, are wrong, very wrong.

What fans expect Jason is basic competence.  At least an average offense.  Right now, the Redskins offense, that you Captain, is neither competent or basic, it is inept.  Let’s take a look, shall we ….

Offensive Team Stats:

Yard Per Game:  24th ranked

Points per game:  28th ranked

Offensive plays:  31st ranked

3rd down conversion %:  28th ranked

Time of Possession:  30th ranked

Passing Yards per game:  20th ranked

Passing TDs:  21st ranked

Rushing Yard per game: 27th ranked

Rushing TDs:  27th ranked

Total Touchdowns:  29th ranked

Sacks allowed:  29th ranked

As you can see Jason, I think the numbers speak for itself, the Redskins offense, well, it just plain out sucks.  Ranked at or near the worst mark in nearly every category.  Not in the Top 15 in ANY stat.   And you are the QB of that offense.  You have been for 5 years.   You think it is bad on the field?  Trying watching this crap.  For TEN long years.

Let’s talk about getting open.  We, the fans, don’t expect receivers to be open every play.  BUT, we do expect them to be open once in awhile.  Apparently if Malcolm Kelly or Devin Thomas do indeed get open, then you seemingly indict yourself for failing to get them the ball.   But, from what I have seen on the little camera angles I get, I won’t lay that at your spikes.  Kelly and Thomas aren’t getting open.  Why?  Because they stink right now.  There, I said it for you.

Oh, and Jason, one more thing.  Before we move on, while you gaze at those awful offensive rankings and stats, remember this as well — here is how the defenses are ranked that you played against so far this season:

Points allowed per game: DET (2nd worst), TB (3rd worst), STL (4th worst), KC (6th worst), CAR (10th worst), and NYG (11th worst)

Yards allowed per game: DET (10th worst), TB (5th worst), STL (6th worst), and KC (3rd worst)

Third down conversion allowed:  TB (4th worst), STL (THE worst), KC (11th worst), and CAR (15th worst)

Jason, you know why I am showing you this right?  That’s right, to show you that you and your offense have not even played against defensive power houses yet.  You have played some of the worst defenses in the NFL, yet the offensive rankings are some of the worst in the NFL.

So no Jason.  It is not that the fans expect too much.  It is the fans expect basic competence.  Fans expect to see an offense that can sustain more than two drives per game.  To see an offense that is not so generic and predictable.

And no Jason, I really don’t think the fans are asking for too much.

What Jason means is that fans in Atlanta won’t hold the Redskins so accountable for poor performance. But woud the team feel better hearing the crowd cheer their mistakes instead of booing them?

Why not? That’s what I ask the fans to do for me.
