The Cavaliers have righted the ship by winning two games after losing their first two to the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors. New center Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t look comfortable in the Cleveland offense yet and the team is shooting poorly and has actually been out-rebounded this year.
The Wizards will have Caron Butler back and he will draw the difficult assignment of covering Lebron James. Expect to see Deshawn Stevenson and perhaps Mike Miller also covering James at times tonight. The Wizards will be without Antawn Jamison, but Andray Blatche has performed admirably in his absence, averaging over 21 ppg and shooting about 72% through 3 games. The Wizards badly need Blatche to continue his hot streak and hope this is not so much a streak as the new and improved Andray. They will also need a big assist from Randy Foye, who has shot well and run the team like an experienced point guard. Mike Miller has shown a knack for hitting big shots and is leading the team in rebounding with almost ten per game. The Wiz will need a lot more of that.
Whether the players want to call this a rivalry or not, there is a ton of bad blood between these teams and their fan bases. It’s going to be an emotional battle tonight. In light of that, we present you with this:
