UPDATE: Looks like our whisper from yesterday turned out to be accurate. Mathieu Perreault indeed has been recalled to Washington while Keith Aucoin has been reassigned. Much as we anticipated yesterday.

Yesterday Report:

The Washington Capitals have called up Mathieu Perreault from the Hershey Bears (AHL).

Perreault was a 6th round draft selection of the Capitals in the 2006 NHL Draft.   In 11 games with Hershey this season, Perreault has 1 goal and 6 assists and a +5 rating.
