You dummy, you thought the preseason was over. Apparently not, since G/C Will Montgomery and G Chad Rinehart are going to compete for the right to succeed Randy Thomas, who will miss the rest of the year with a torn muscle in his arm, in the starting lineup. The team went through several minicamps, a month of training camp and four preseason games, but evidently that wasn’t enough for Jim Zorn and Joe Bugel, who will give the starting right guard job to whichever player has the better week. My prediction: Rinehart wins the job. But will he be up to it?
