Former Steeler and Giants receiver Plaxico Buress has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for violating gun laws in the State of New York.
Burress was expected to serve 20 months of the sentence, which he
agreed to last month when he pleaded guilty to a lesser firearms
charge, followed by two years of probation. The charges stemmed from an
incident late last fall, when Burress accidentally shot himself in the
thigh at a Manhattan nightclub.
Classic, classic case of more wasted talent. Guys like Buress and Pacman Jones just never come to a ralization of how lucky they were, how much the talent they were born with could not only financially set themselves for life, but turn their lives to a much, much better direction. Instead they revert themselves to harmful and stupid behavior that sucks the incredible talent they have into a character of disgust.
