Redskins Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet |

thumbsupdown.jpgThis is the 6th year of the DC Pro Sports Report post-game Thumbs Up
and Thumbs Down.  We award ONLY TWO each.  They do not necessarily go
to the best player, but to players we think made a difference, two to
the good, two to the bad, or made valiant efforts, or awful efforts.
Again, we ONLY award 2 THUMBS up, and two THUMBS down.

You will not see DC Pro Sports Report give any THUMBS UP to a pathetic offense that manages just 3 field goals to a bad St. Louis Rams team.  Sorry, but this offense is bad, real bad.

THUMBS UP:

Albert Haynesworth:  The guy was all over the field causing messes everywhere.  Yeah, he sat out some winded, but when Haynesworth was in, he simply dominated.  Big pass knock down at the end of the game with a good Brian Orakpo hit on  Marc Bulger.  Haynesworth came to play today and he did play and played very well.

Cornelius Griffin:  The ‘other’ defensive tackle had just as terrific game as Big Al.  The defensive middle was absolutely superb.  Griffin was a play maker, disruptive, and in on many stuff plays.  A big game for the ‘other’ defensive tackle.

Honorable Mention:  Rocky McIntosh, Chris Horton, and Brian Orakpo

THUMBS DOWN:

Red Zone Offense: It is damn sad when you can’t score against the Rams defense.  Damn sad.  How many trips tot he red zone and how many TDs?  ZERO TDs.  The rushing in the red zone was horrendous.  The 4th and 1 at the end was a pathetically called play and even worse execution.  This red zone offense is just poor.  The Redskins offense should be extremely embarrassed today.

Jim Zorn:  What a horrible game plan, ultra conservative offense, and in one word to describe the Zorn machine — BORING.  Two things could happen here.  Zorn could be canned because his offense is horrific, or, Zorn could admit his play calling is bad, and turn over play calling top anyone, and I mean, anyone else but him.  This offense is punchless, boring, predictable and non-existent.

Dishonerable Mention:  Ladell Betts, Derrick Dockery, Santana Moss, and Devin Thomas.
