Randy Thomas out for season with torn tricep

Redskins took their first big injury hit of the season.  OG Randy Thomas will likely miss the rest of the season with a torn triceps.

Right guard Randy Thomas is expected to miss the remainder of the
season with a torn right triceps, according to multiple NFL sources.
Team officials said Coach Jim Zorn will comment on Thomas’ status on
Monday, when Thomas is expected to undergo an MRI. Thomas torn his left
triceps in September 2007.

Will Montgomery subbed in and did pretty well for Thomas, who left the game in the first half.  What is disheartening here is the fact the Redskins selected G Chad Rhinehart with the 3rd round pick two years ago and he was yet inactive again for the second straight game.  What does that say?  Tells me — welcome to the offensive line Will Montgomery.

I would venture to say, given Thomas’ age and his second year now missing most of the season that he may be done as a Redskin.  At least as a starter.  Just a hunch.
