Redskins added five players they waived yesterday tot he practice squad and lost one. The Redskins lost DT Antonio Dixon. There is no indication of whether they were considering Dixon for the practice squad, aside from positive comments from the coaching staff, but Dixon was claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Signed to the practice squad were: WR Trent Shelton, S Lendy Holmes, DE JT Skolnitsky, DE Rob Jackson, and FB Eddie Williams.
Jackson was a 2008 7th round pick that made the 53 man roster last year, but lost out to veteran Renaldo Wynn. Eddie Williams was a 2009 Redskins draft pick. Lendy Holmes was a good addition., II like the way he played and he made some nice hits and covers on special teams.
The Redskins still have 3 spots open on the practice squad. No word on whether QB Chase Daniel will fill one of those spots.
UPDATE: Chase Daniel will NOT be a Redskin. Daniel was claimed off waivers by the New Orleans Saints.
