Of course, the most high profile battle going into the final game is between QB Chase Daniel and QB Colt Brennan for the clipboard-holding job. Read it. We also need to pick a kicker.

So who has the edge, Colt or Chase? Jim Zorn says he will not make his decision based on long-term potential. I’d say that’s bad news for Colt. Read it.
On the subject of Colt Brennan, ever wonder why he wears a visor? First of all, it looks cool — even Chris Cooley says so. Why else? Read it.
Check out who we have making the team on defense. Read it.
Here is a Times preview of the final preseason game tonight. Look out for how the Redskins backups play against Jacksonville’s starters, who will get a long look tonight. Read it.
The next time you hear Larry Michael or some other stuffed shirt with the Redskins bitching about the number of visiting fans at FedEx Field, remember that Dan Snyder & Co. prefer selling tickets at astronomical prices to those visiting fans than selling tickets at normally super-high prices to Redskins fans. Of course, the Skins are saying it was all a big mistake, a big misunderstanding. If you believe that…I don’t know how to finish that sentence. What’s a stronger word than ‘idiot’? In other words: Dan Snyder is no Redskins fan. Read it.
Riggo’s Rag sums up my thoughts on the ticket scandal pretty well:

Why oh why did the Redskins ever decide to use the general admission seats as bait for selling club seats?  Why did they decide those on the waiting list were essentially good for PR but not good enough for business?  Why did they value brokers and club seat revenue more than loyal Redskins’ fans?  I’ll say it – GREED.

Mr. Snyder, you make me sick.

Read it.
John Keim writes about the 4 things we need to see against Jacksonville: better running lanes created by the starting offensive line, better kick and punt coverage, more field goals [so we can pick a kicker!] and no injuries. Makes sense to me. Read it.
Keim also gives us 5 players to watch: Daniels, Brennan, Mike Williams, Fred Davis, and Anthony Aldridge, who comes with an endorsement from Mike Shanahan. Read it.
Finally, the prolific Mr Keim picks the final roster for us. It’s pretty much how I see things going, too. Read it.
The Washington Times picks the final 53-man roster. Read it.
Former Colts coach Tony Dungy, who played against the Tennessee Titans at least twice a year, isn’t sold on expensive new DT Albert Haynesworth. As expected. It’s about taking plays off, which Hayensworth has been known to do. Read it.
