Quick Post Game Hitters
Redskins lose 24-17. Redskin scored the final two TDs as they trailed int he beginning of the 4th quarter 24-3.
Colt Brennan was 10-14 for 83 yards and left a bit early because of a sore hamstring. Chase Daniel took over and finished 8-16 for 85 yards with a TD pass to Marko Mitchell, a connection that is becoming infamous. OUR BERT: Colt Brennan retains third QB spot, Daniel to the practice squad.
I think it is pretty clear that Marko Mitchell is the 5th receiver. He should o get some playing time with his crisp route running and size. Mitchell caught 6 passes for 52 yards and a TD. Bigger question is, who is #2 next to Santana Moss? Devin Thomas caught 2 passes and Malcolm Kelly caught 1 for 12 yards.
Shaun Suisham connected on a 48 yard field goal. Lights out to Dave Raynor, the competition is over Suisham won it on that kick.
Anthony Aldridge fumbled a kick return that allowed Jacksonsville to go up 10-0. That may have cost him a roster spot. Aldridge did have 3 receptions for 34 yards. Was it enough to redeem himself? Bigger question is, will the Redskins only go with 4 running backs like last season?
Robert Henson led the team in tackles with 8 and fumble recovery; he may have made the roster.
Reed Doughty and Kedric Golston had sacks.
