The Redskins made a few roster moves today.
WR Roydell Williams, who has been injured most of training camp, has been released. To replace Williams, the Redskins signed veteran WR DJ Hackett. Hackett is a 6″2′ receiver with nice size and arms. He was invited to mini-camp but walked out without a contract.
Hackett played for the Carolina Panthers last season and caught 13 passes for 189 yards. He was released this off-season. In 2006, Hackett caught 45 passes for 610 yards and 4 Tds.
Redskins also signed DL Michael Marquardt.
