Quick Caps News: Gordo Re-signs, French Hired in Hershey

Two noteworthy items from the land of the Washington Capitals. 

First, special teamer and 4th liner Boyd Gordon has signed a one year deal.  Gordo finished the season with 5 goals and 9 assists.  He became an instantly leader on the special teams penalty kill unit for the Cpas and will play that role again in 2009-10.
The Hershey Bears have hired Assistant Coach Mark French to replace Bob Woods as the new head coach.  French was an assistant with Hershey last season.  His promotion keeps the Bears in the Bruce Boudreau system as French learned the system from former Head Coach Bob Woods.  Woods was promoted to Washington to replace defensive coach Jay leach.
