Skins' NFC East rival has a ton of cap space

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet |

The Philadelphia Eagles have $23.1 million of cap space left under the current collective bargaining agreement [CBA], which expires after the 2009-10 season.

Here are the teams with the most cap space left:

1. Bucs $36.6 million
2. Chiefs $31.1 million
3. Packers $28.5 million
4. 49ers $25.5 million
5. Eagles $23.1 million

In fact, since the CBA requires each team to spend at least $107,748,000 on player salaries, the Eagles will be obligated to spend more than they are currently. This indicates that the Eagles simply don’t want to pay disgruntled Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin the money he wants. It’s not a cap issue for the Eagles, they just don’t want to pay Boldin what Boldin wants.

Thank God for that.
