Manny Ramirez like juice

And is suspended for 50 games for it. 

Major League Baseball has suspended OF Manny Ramirez for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. 

Manny Ramirez has been suspended for 50 games
by Major League Baseball, becoming by far the highest-profile player
ensnared in the sport’s drug scandals.

The
commissioner’s office didn’t announce the specific violation by the Los
Angeles Dodgers outfielder, who will lose about one-third of his $25
million salary.

I think there is more at play here.  I think Ramirez has to be tested for stupidity as well.  Has Ramirez been absent, oh, say, the last 4 years?  How dumb of a person can you be? 

Back then, your dumb.  But hey, in the late 90’s it was common and the League turned a blind eye. But now?  After Congressional hearings, Major League Baseball reactions and changes, and the embarassment and humiliation of the players, and Ramirez still takes the juice?   What a stupid person.  And he is getting paid $25 million. 

So who is more stupid?  The Dodgers organization or Ramirez himself.

“Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me
a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me,”
Ramirez said. “Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug
policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have
been advised not to say anything more for now.

“I do want to say
one other thing; I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the
past five seasons. I want to apologize to [Dodgers owner Frank]
McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, [manager Joe] Torre, my teammates, the Dodger
organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me
and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I’m sorry about this
whole situation.”
