DC Pro Sports Report for April 24, 2009
AUTHOR: dcprosportsreport | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: |
The Capitals play for their playoff lives tonight, the Wizards look to fill out their new coaching staff, Adam Dunn says “Serenity now!”, and the Redskins are offering Dan Snyder‘s wife and children for the draft rights to Mark Sanchez. But first, our top story…
TOP STORY
The top story today is the NFL Draft, which is held tomorrow and Sunday. Watch it on ESPN and ESPN2 and The NFL Network. Make sure you do this. Tomorrow is going to be sunny and 85 degrees in the DC area, but pay no attention to that. Spend the entire weekend inside, ignoring your family and friends, defecating and urinating into a bucket next to the living room couch, staring mindlessly at the TV until you brain turns to tapioca and your genitalia withers due to the radiation from the 50″ screen. And don’t forget to get nachos!

3. Michael Wilbon writes that the main reason to watch the draft is to see the Redskins make fools of themselves:
I’ll watch a little bit of the draft tomorrow for the sole purpose of seeing whether the Washington Redskins will continue to play Fantasy Football and draft Mark Sanchez. It’s akin to watching a NASCAR race to see an accident. It’s become a perverse pleasure. The Redskins, it seems, ought to be in the business of finding the next American Idol, not professional football.
I know just what he means.
